Two Moon Junction

Some things in life are literally unexplainable. My love and staunch defense of Two Moon Junction as one of the finest films ever created will remain forever. I watched it again.. just to be sure I could make such a claim. Yep, still perfect. Just like Sherilyn Fenn's eyebrows.

Minnie Castevet's real life

Out to play

A NY street sign put out to tell cars that a street was closed so kids could play. Can you even conceive of such a thing today? It just wouldn't happen. It should happen. It's so cool. It's so makeshift and unofficial and just plain excellent.

Again, all images LIFE archive.

Poppies

and a puppy.

Currently reading....

Attracted by the lovely houses on the cover, that look like a Parisian model village.. I picked it up and purchased. It's one of those books that I feel like I've only just started but my thumbed pages say otherwise. I am not sure about it. I need recommendations. I need a book list.

TT has suggested this... which has made him smile and laugh on the tube in the mornings..

I'm just hopeful that I will one day find something I love as much as this. My favourite in 34 years and counting.

Mia Farrow

Could she possibly be any cuter, sweeter or perfectly complexioned? Is that even a word? All via LIFE

Shirley and Sachi

Shirley Maclaine and her daughter Sachi Parker from LIFE. I think I might just love having a kid around one of these days. I just adore these photos. Shirley Maclaine looks like SO MUCH FUN.

Babies

Sewing

All from LIFE photo archive, my new favourite pasttime.

Getting ready to do my FIRST craft fair. OH GOD. What if noone buys anything? aaaaaaah

blue glittery street

Well, more like a smashed windscreen, but it's better to look for the positive. It looked beautiful. Like the inside of a peppermint crisp.

picnic

Picnic at Hanging Rock. Joan Lindsay through the eyes of Peter Weir.

Churchill besmocked

Winston Churchill painting in the French countryside. Who knew? Again via Lark About. Fast becoming my very favourite blog.

I love

Old jeans. I used to make Jennifer wear new things and claim them back when they were worn and lovely. These from Lark About are just perfecto.

I wish I could speak French

So that I could understand who it is that makes these perfect clothes and where I might buy them all.

Dressing For The Garden

The photos of Valerie Finnis- from Each Little World. I am so sure this life would have fit me very well indeed.
