oh Catherine!

On your wedding day!

Dear Cyndi

I'd sit up well past my bedtime with my sister's bright blue radio/tape deck waiting for your songs to come on and I'd record them to orange BASF tapes.

I'd be poised and ready for so long my thumbs nearly wore out. Thanks for the soundtrack to my teens.

Erie Basin

I don't know what's nicer, the antiques, or the name of the shop. Erie Basin.

Little Circus

Makes me almost wish I had a child to lavish this stuff on. Then play with it all myself.
Makes me wish I spoke French. Little Circus.

A Korean wrapping cloth. For wrapping what? I don't really know, but I love it all the same. From Gallery Tsumugi

amanda de cadenet.
I found this quite crazy Duran Duran fansite with all the Hello! Magazine articles with the boys and wives. It was like a trip back to a doctor's waiting room 15 years ago.

Meryl

Meryl oh Meryl. The way I felt about you as a teen was bordering on an obsession. I would write the lists of all the movies you'd ever been in by year off by heart in the back of my text books and that was before the internet. Do you have any idea how hard that information was to source in a tiny country town in Australia in the 90s? What did Jeremy Irons say to you that was so funny? Where was the subway taking you?
LIFE

the only one i really thought was super

Helena your hair is lovely I bet it smells of strawberry shampoo.

the nicest tea that ever passed my lips

Korean Yuzu tea- Yuzu is a type of perfumey citrus fruit, and the tea is made from a teaspoon of sticky gloopy yuzu marmalade and boiling water, usually with a pinenut or two floating in it. Crazy. But entirely and completely heavenly. Chinatown here I come.

Thanksgiving - America please adopt me

S'mores and Pumpkin Tart, literally everything about Thanksgiving excites me. I think I'm just going to start celebrating it. Despite no connection to the USA. Is that allowed?

Home

Japanese scatter sushi. Brown rice, carrot and avocado with a rice wine and soy sauce dressing. Black sesame seed and chilli gomasio and seaweed. Boots. Ear. A photographic non-sequitur.

Barcelona beauties

With the exception of Daunt Books on the Marylebone High St, La Central in Barcelona is my favourite bookshop in all of the world. The covers just seem to have the edge over any bookshop, anywhere, ever.

A tiny trip to Anthropologie

Beautiful found object chandeliers and vintage clocks, clay sculptures, rugs and glasses. But... ultimately underwhelming. Is it because it's not far away and involves an exciting trip to get there anymore? It seemed shabbier. It seemed spartan. Oh well.

i don't know who is cuter

This lovely lady has just about the prettiest hair I've ever seen. Not to mention the longest legs. I've long loved her blog, The Snail and The Cyclops... where this little lamb is just the tip of an iceberg of vintage finds and an impeccable eye.
